but wait, there's more!
If you remember from last week's blog, I was talking about how I read The Tapping Solution by Nick Ornter. It's clearly written book about the different ailments that ordinary people have and how EFT, or Emotional Freedom Technique, helped them and in most cases cured them. The book goes on to give instructions on how to do this yourself and improve your life. I can say from personal experience that it works if you work it! That feel-good vibe I was telling you about in previous blogs‚ I attribute to using EFT.
According to the book, Nick Ortner was able to help people who had chronic severe back pain, intense depression, food addictions and worse.
I am inclined to believe EFT can help people because…
a) If a person's situation is untenable, they have to make a choice to either succumb or overcome.
It's called hitting rock-bottom. It's that place people arrive at when they finally realize they can't do whatever it is they have been doing anymore and they surrender. It can go either way depending on the situation. It is neither right or wrong. It just is.
b) The Placebo effect is real...
EFT is largely based on the patient's willingness to believe, and to let their mind impact the healing process. It is one of many successful forms of Placebo. Placebo is a phenomenon that gets a bad rap for no reason other than modern day medicine considers it baloney. If memory serves me correctly, the placebo effect originally started out as a viable medical treatment years ago. In my opinion, if it works who cares? Especially if the patient gets better and/or is cured.
EFT is gaining popularity and the research that supports its effects is astounding. And what is really awesome is anyone can learn it for free! (okay, you have to pay for the book but after that…)
peace and love
