the feel good vibe
I'm continuing to feel the good vibe I spoke about in my last blog post… I am digging life in a major way.
Let me explain.
If you recall, I mentioned that I was working on becoming gluten-free. Well, it has been a real journey, and I had help from my team of researchers, code named "The Goddess." (ahem)
Finding the food that is organic and gluten-free is the trick. If you eat out a lot, you are in trouble. Most restaurants may have gluten-free items on the menu, but are they organic? They have to make a profit, right? Who has time to check to make sure their vendors are selling organic, non-GMO food items?
Okay, let's say you have time to cook at home. Good luck finding gluten-free and organic food that doesn't taste like cardboard, dirt, tree bark, dirt mixed with tree bark, or newsprint mixed with tree bark smothered in dirt…
You see where I'm going with this, right?
The good news is that gluten is limited to mostly bread or similar products. How about this for a good laugh - most of my favorite dessert items have gluten (I didn't laugh either). But here's the thing, it appears that gluten and sugar are together in a lot of the same foods. So, when you cut back on gluten, you cut back on sugar at the same time. If the goal is to be healthier, then this is a BONUS!
This blog continues next week...
peace and love,
chuck.
