The patient becomes the doctor

I love what I do for a living. Helping people get better and feel good is a very cool thing to be part of. My patients trust me enough to follow my lead in their journeys toward better health; to say this is the most personally rewarding occupation I’ve had is no exaggeration at all. You know what the best part is? My patients educate me as well.

I want to make you all aware of (drum roll please). . . the “Budwig Diet," which one of my patients made me aware of. I can’t mention her name for confidentiality reasons, but a big "THANK YOU!" goes out to S.G. for bringing this to my attention. I had never heard of this before and man, was I interested.

S.G. brought me an article written by Webster Kehr from the Independent Cancer Research Foundation, Inc. The article talks about the discoveries of Dr. Johanna Budwig. The article can be found on this website, which advocates natural treatment therapies for cancer patients and terminally ill people.

The information in the article is pretty extensive and there are many links to other areas that discuss treatments and protocols. All of the links are at the end of this post. But first, here are the broad strokes of what I read. I hope this will get you excited and you’ll go down this rabbit hole with me.

"wait... cure me?"

Dr Budwig is known for the “Budwig Protocol." Dr. Johanna Budwig’s research into cancer treatment was probably over looked because she was using Organic Cottage Cheese and Organic Flaxseed Oil to treat and cure cancer and prevent other chronic diseases. That’s right. You read that correctly. Cure and prevention. When was the last time you heard your doctor say, “Let’s cure what’s wrong with you?” I’ll give you a minute to think about that. . .

In my opinion, if I had terminal cancer and running naked through Woodward Park on the eve of a full moon covered in green Jello would cure me, then I would run until I were arrested for streaking. Just sayin’. So, following the Budwig Protocol” of eating cottage cheese and flaxseed oil is not a stretch for me.

Back to Dr. Budwig. She was born in 1908 in Germany, and died in 2003 at the age of 95. She is known as the top European Cancer Research Scientist, Biochemist, German Pharmacologist, and Physicist. Oh and get this: she was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize seven (7) times.

Here is an excerpt from the article:

"In Germany in 1952 she was the Central Government’s Senior Expert for fats and pharmaceutical drugs. She’s considered one of the world's leading authorities on fats and oils. Her research has shown the tremendous effects that commercially processed fats and oils have in destroying cell membranes and lowering the voltage in the cells of our bodies, which then results in chronic and terminal disease. What we have forgotten is that we are the body electric."

the short explanation

According to the Dr. Budwig, this degradation of the cells can be reversed by eating simple cottage cheese and flaxseed oil. The combination of these two ingredients work like this. Flaxseed oil has essential electrons that heal the cells, and the cheese has a sulfur protein that makes the oil water soluble so the oil can pass through the cell wall.

It doesn't seem like it could be easier. Read the article and discover all the case studies. Then decide for yourself. I personally don’t want to be arrested for streaking. Besides, nobody likes the green Jello.

peace and love,
chuck.
